You know that summer is here , when the fan or the cooler is on 24/7 , when you prefer cold juices over your regular hot tea, when you feel frustrated most of the times, it’s time to take measures to combat heat.
Fruits :- during summer mango is a fruit that you must eat because it is rich in dietary fibre. Celebrity nutritionist and dietician says that mangoes are recommend for people with diabetes. She also goes on to say that mangoes help on weight loss. If you haven’t tasted a mango before, then you definitely should it is most tastiest fruit ever.
Other fruits which are highly recommended this summer are watermelon 🍉 papaya, guava Jackfruit .
Water:- it is recommended that we at least drink 7-8 glasses of water per day, but we all know that it is easier said than done. But by flavoring water with a lime wedge, cucumber slices, or mint leaves will help you to drink a lot of water.
Lunch ideas:- during the summer even the most cooking enthusiasts don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so the best solution is to cook 1 pot dishes such as paneer pulao, lemon rice, Vegetable fried rice, Curd rice. From the time I was a kid , during summer we would ensure that we would at least eat curd rice at least 3 times in a week we would do so because curd has natural properties which help to cool down body. A simple salald with cucumber and tomatoes is a great option.
Ice cream :- eating ice cream is the best part of summer, eating homemade ice cream is even better. You can try mango ice cream recipe , it is honestly one of the best and one of the easiest ice cream recipe I have ever come across.
Juices :- butter-milk, coconut water, sugarcane juice, lemon juice, watermelon juice all are good options. Make sure to use a metal straw rather than a plastic straw as these plastic straws cause a lot of damage to our environment as these plastic straws are not biodegradable.
